The Learning Resource Centre is a place where children can work in small groups or on a 1:1 basis.

The LRC is a place of calm where the children enjoy to go and is also the base for our successful Accelerated Reader programme. Accelerated Reader has had a massive impact on not only the reading ability of our children, but also their enjoyment of books too. The pupils each select a book and read it in their own time, before completing a short test to evaluate their comprehension. They then go on to choose another book to read. Staff collate their 'word count' which is displayed in the LRC; these can in turn be used towards rewards.

The LRC is also used for Lego Therapy, where pupils can enjoy the concentration on building models, whilst having the opportunity to discuss things that may be on their mind.
