World Mental Health Day takes place every year on the 10th of October to spotlight mental health around the world, raise awareness of mental health issues and encourage efforts to support those experiencing mental health issues.

Hope High School will be raising awareness on Thursday and will be encouraging staff and students to wear something yellow (accessories only).

Students will take part in sessions Thursday afternoon. Staff and students will be completing activities to support the 'Five Ways to Wellbeing':

  • Connect with other people. Good relationships are important for your mental wellbeing
  • Be physically active
  • Learn new skills
  • Give to others
  • Pay attention to the present moment (mindfulness)
