
Hope High School students were invited to an awareness event at Skelmersdale Youth Zone for Violence Against Women and Girls - 'Get the Message Campaign'
The event was opened by the Police and Crime Commissioner for Lancashire, Clive Grunshaw. The event promoted the #GetTheMessage campaign, which is a behaviour change campaign aimed at men and boys to highlight the impact of low-level harassment on women and girls.
The day involve a range of activities such as:
- A session with the Liberty Team - Coercive control / Healthy Relationships
- Stalls from various partners promoting their goals for VAWG
- 5-a-side football tournament
- Pool
- Badminton
Three students from Hope High School teamed up with two students from Ormskirk High School for a Football Tournament. The team made it through to the finals and won.
Staff are extremely proud of the engagement, sportsmanship and respect the students displayed throughout the event.
